Audi also wanted to charge Ā£250 for a oil and filter change (7.2 ltrs of quantum, 1 oil filter, 1 sump plug) now that is taking the p*#s.
Audididnāt just change the oil/supplier for the TDI, all of VW/Audi group actually got a new factory oil supplier, which is Mobil. Like said above, likely due to a contract expiring and getting a better offer from Mobil. Also, Mobil allows them to brand it VW/ Audi (photo below) which Castrol didnāt. Received199 Likes on 170 Posts. What 507.00 oil are you using in your TDI? I'm about to do my first oil change on my 14 TDI and was wondering what others have used that readily available. I know it should be VW/Audi 507.00 compliant, but what particular brands have you used: Castrol Edge.
Asdeyrag mentioned, it's probably not even necessary to disconnect the sway bar at all. There's not much in the way of the oil pan of the 3.0. One of the few jobs where it's easier on the 3.0 than on the 1.8! His: 2012 Moonlight Blue Metallic S5 Prestige. Hers: 2014 Lava Gray Metallic Q5 2.0T.
DCC thanks for the fine writeup for the 2010 TDI oil change. I will get a Pela 6000, the only concern I have is the torque rating (35NM) for the oil filter cap. That sounds a bit high. All vw/audi engines must use 507.00 spec oil except non-DPF R5/V10 engines that must use 505.0 1 /506.0 1 93 Pajero GLS 3.0 V6 LWB - SOLD
